The Australian Centre of Human Rights Education at RMIT University has developed two new exciting post graduate programs which explore what it means and what it takes to build a culture and practice of human rights.

Even Australians can have their basic rights eroded in this country.
THE temporary jailing of an elderly dementia sufferer who speaks little English and is clinically depressed, reported by The Age last week, will have shocked many. The 75-year-old woman was released to family care three days later in declining emotional health. However, from January 1, in Victoria, her jailing would be more than disturbing, it could violate human rights legislation.
